Immunotherapy in the treatment of melanoma patients: current state of the problem

Summary. There is no doubt in effectiveness of immunotherapy with checkpoint inhibitors for melanoma patients. CTLA4- and PD1-blockers significantly improve results of treatment in advanced disease and melanoma with involving regional lymph nodes in the adjuvant setting. The article discusses the results of recent trials on the use of immunotherapy in melanoma patients.
