Correction of neurological side effects of taxanes by Meditan in patients with breast cancer

Summary. The results of preoperative conservative treatment of 238 patients with locally advanced cancer of the oral cavity and oropharynx depending on the main prognostic factors are analyzed. Preoperative radiation therapy conducted at 68,9% (n=164) of patients. Another 31,1% (n=74) of patients received сhemoradiotherapy, which included a two chemotherapy courses: cisplatin 100 mg/m on 1 day + fluorouracil 1000 mg/m from 1 to 5 day. A statistically significant factors that affect the effectiveness of the radiation and chemotherapy can be considered the stage of the di­sease and the primary process. No correlation between the efficiency of conservative therapy with the age and gender of patients.
