The applying of chemotherapy in oncologic patients with functional renal lesions

Summary. The majority of oncologic patients require the applying of chemotherapy. The most common manifestations of toxicity of cytostatic agents are hematological and non-hematological (gastrointestinal, hepato-, cardiac and neurotoxicity) toxicity. However, some cytostatics can cause the renal damage in patients with their functional lesions and the development of renal insufficiency. This article is dedicated to effects of chemotherapy on functional renal ability in patients and proposes the policy of advicing such patients.
