Organ-saving surgery for early rectal cancer

Summary. Gasless transanal endoscopic surgery (GTES) allows to excise rectal tumors by means of conventional laparoscopic tools via operative rectoscope without gas insufflation. Transanal excision (TE) by Parks also used for low rectal tumors. Evaluation of effectiveness of GTES and TE for Tis-1N0M0G1-2 rectal carcinomas (<3 cm) was the aim of the study. GTES and TE is safe, effective and simple surgical procedures for patient with early rectal carcinomas.
