Summary. Nowadays endometrial intraepithelial carcinoma is regarded as an early form of the uterine serous papillary carcinoma. Morphologically this lesion is characterized by the replacement of atrophic endometrial surface epithelium and glands by the highly atypical polymorphic cells. Immunohistochemically this lesion is characterized by strong diffuse expression of protein p53 and high level of proliferative activity Ki-67. This lesion often associates with invasive uterine serous papillary carcinoma in other regions of the endometrium. This fact necessitates wide surgery in case of detection of endometrial intraepithelial carcinoma in the curettage specimen. Even in case of pure endometrial intraepithelial carcinoma without invasive component it is a possibility of wide-spread metastatic disease. Given the rarity of this lesion developing of the treatment approaches requires further study.
