Cytomorphological quantitative signs of hepatocellular carcinoma

Tuganova T.N., Bolgova L.S.

Summary. The investigation of cytomorphological signs of hepatocellular carcinoma on a specially designs «Scheme for the formal evaluation of the qualitative and quantitative composition of the tumor cells», consisting of 67 characters and their gradatіons. There were cytoplasmic characteristics, nuclear and nucleolar structural components of the cells in the puncture specimens of 50 patients. Detection of cytogenetic characteristics of tumor cells was carried out in 2500 nuclei Ag-positive cells on the basis of 14 394 nucleoli hepatocellular carcinoma cells by the material of fine-needle aspiration biopsy of the liver and nucleoli 1110 in 500 nuclei of hepatocytes conditional norm. Studies have revealed quantitative morphofunctional nucleolar types of chromosomal regions for the differential diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma cells and hepatocytes conditional norm. Identified cytomorphological, cytogenetic and background components in the material punctates liver tumors can be fundamental to the establishment of morphological differential diagnosis
