Effect of rehabilitation on the level of aggression and anxiety in children with cancer

Summary. The article describes the effect of rehabilitation measures to reduce the level of aggression and anxiety in adolescent children with cancer in a rehabilitation center. It was used in the study the questionnaires of Bass — Darky (diagnostics of aggression) and the scale of Spielberg — Hanin (definition of personal and situational anxiety). Teens were tested for seven years, from 2007 to 2013. The conducting of the course of complex rehabilitation for disabled children with cancer in a day hospital rehabilitation center and trainings of family rehabilitation for parents and teenagers for 7 years resulted in a significant reduction in the negative symptoms of aggression and anxiety that had been in adolescents in the initial stage of recovery activities. It was noted that disabled children with cancer require prolonged observation of psychologists and providing comprehensive rehabilitation in a rehabilitation center.
