A retrospective analysis of efficacy and toxicity of second line therapy in patients with Hodgkin’s lymphoma and non-hodgkin’s lymphoma who were treated at the National Cancer Institute was made; authors demonstrated the possibility of adequate second line therapy by the standard state staff of the Department of Oncohematology. In the article authors demonstrated the efficacy of salvage therapy in the treatment of recurrent and primary refractory forms of lymphoma, Hodgkin’s lymphoma non-hodgkin’s lymphoma, the use of courses of chemotherapy according to the scheme DHAP, GVP, MINE. The article substantiates the holding of proper staging of lymphomas, as well as re-biopsy of the tumour before second-line therapy. Authors stressed the importance of timely termination of the first-line therapy for registration of primary refractory or progression of the disease because of its ineffectiveness. The data obtained suggest that most of the patients with poor course of lymphomas can achieve complete or partial remission after second-line therapy.
