Zviahina O.V.

Summary. On September 6, 2025, a large-scale symposium “Lung Cancer. Modern Treatment Algorithms and Innovations” was held in Kyiv, dedicated to contemporary approaches in diagnosing and treating one of the most dangerous oncological diseases — lung cancer. The event brought together leading researchers, practicing physicians, futurists, and representatives of both the public and private sectors. The focus was on cutting-edge methods of molecular genetic testing (including ctDNA and PD-L1), innovative neoadjuvant immuno- and combination therapy regimens, the digital transformation of medicine, and new business models in healthcare. Speakers emphasized the importance of a multidisciplinary approach, personalized medicine, and systemic investments in prevention. Clinical data presented, including results from the KEYNOTE-671 trial, demonstrate that integrating perioperative immunotherapy with molecular diagnostics is reshaping the outlook for patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), enabling high rates of pathological complete response (pCR) and laying the foundation for a new treatment paradigm.
