Neoadjuvant treatment of patients with soft tissue sarcoma of extremities and trunk

Summary. The results of treatment of 267 patients with sarcoma of soft tissue are studied which parted on four groups: group of surgical treatment, group of preoperative radiotherapy and surgical treatment, group of preoperative intraarterial chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgical treatment, group of preoperative system chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgical treatment. General 3-years survival was equal accordingly: 46,2%, 58,7%, 66,3%, 70,3%. A conclusion is done, that preoperative chemoradiotherapy improves the results of treatment.
