Summary. The work is devoted to the study of the mechanisms of formation of radioiodine resistance in patients with differentiated thyroid cancer. As a result of the analysis of domestic and foreign research, as well as partly our own data, it was established that the peculiarities of the formation of radioiodine resistance in DTGC can be used to predict the postoperative monitoring of patients and to make decisions about the use of treatment technologies in remote iodine-negative recurrences of DTGC. The use of an immunohistochemical marker for predicting radioiodine resistance (sodium-iodine symporter antigen SIS) on histological specimens of papillary thyroid cancer was studied. The possibilities of methods for the study of postoperative histological material, for the possible prediction of sensitivity or resistance to RIT were investigated.
