The role of molecular genetic tests in the treatment of ovarian cancer. Folate receptors as an important therapeutic target in modern oncogynecology. Review of the scientific literature

Zlenko M.O., Svintsitskyi V.S., Yatsyna O.I.

Summary. Ovarian cancer remains one of the leading causes of death among oncogynecological diseases. Modern approaches to treatment are based on the use of molecular genetic markers, which allows for the implementation of personalized therapy. Of particular importance is the determination of homologous recombination deficiency (HRD), mutations in DNA repair genes (BRCA1/2, RAD51C, RAD51D, PALB2, ATM), as well as the assessment of folate receptor expression (FR-α).
