ASCO 2026: key trialsSummary. The Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) took place in Chicago on May 29 – June 2, 2026. This year’s Plenary Session brought together five phase 3 trials in pancreatic cancer, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), prostate cancer, and sarcomas. The meeting highlighted several trends. RAS proteins, the intracellular «switches» that signal cells to grow and divide, were long considered an «undruggable» target. Now, for the first time, a drug directed against them has demonstrated an overall survival benefit. Targeted therapy is moving into early-stage disease and the adjuvant setting. Bispecific antibodies are emerging as a potential new backbone of immunotherapy. At the same time, genomic tests are making it possible to safely omit chemotherapy in a subset of patients. This review presents five plenary trials and three additional reports relevant to everyday clinical practice. Five of the trials were published simultaneously in peer-reviewed journals; for the remaining three, only congress abstracts are currently available, so their data should be considered preliminary.
