Summary. Single photon emission computer tomography and positron emission tomography are the basic methods of modern nuclear medicine, are used in many medical sciences , in particular, in neurosurgery. This article is devoted to the application of single photon emission computer tomography and positron emission tomography in the diagnostics of brain tumors. We analyzed the results of using of Тс-methoxyibutylisonitrile, Тl-chloride, F-fluorodeoxyglucose, С-methionine. The main feature of these radiopharmaceuticals is their ability to accumulate mainly in proliferative tissue, that does single photon emission computer tomography and positron emission tomography as high informative methods in the diagnostics of tumors and its characteristics, estimation of local tumor distribution and the dynamics of disease, its answer to the treatment.
